what sword should i upgrade alot for lightning in final fantasy xiii?
i already got the gladius at level 3 should i keep going or sell it to use the second sword u get?
Doesn’t matter which one you upgrade they all become the final form. Lets break it down a bit.
Lightning has around 6 different swords, each sword has has 3 tier upgrades, tier 2 is always different for each weapon but the third tier is always the same but could have different stats like higher magic than strengh.
Some of Lighnting weapons has 26 Levels in Tier 1 and some have 21 levels to reach the Star, here you need to use a catalyst to upgrade them into Tier 2 weapons, most likely a catalyst that costs around 20- 30,000 Gil. Then once in Tier 2 the weapon will go back a few levels like from 26 to 20 but keep upgrading that turns the 20 to a 61 Levels. One you have the Star on the Tier 2 weapon you need a 2,000,000 Gil catalyst (thats right a 2 Mil Catalyst, Of course you can get them from Huge Monsters in Chapter 11) and thats Upgrades to Tier 3. Tier 3 being Lighntings Ultima Weapon has 100 Levels to reach the Star.
So right now you have a Gladius at level 3 keep upgrading, to make it stronger because once you rech Chapter 11 you can get all Lightning weapons up, just need to Farm Gil. Plus you could wear some accessories to build up Lightnings Strengh and the Crystelluim (How ever you spell it)
